The park district has been part of the Skokie community for nearly 80 years and dedicates itself to providing quality parks, recreational facilities, leisure services and social programs for families and people of all ages. More than 90 percent of area residents surveyed responded that the park district improved the quality of their families’ lives. Roughly 50 percent of Skokie residents attend our events and more than 15 percent are enrolled in programs with registration fees. Our core areas of programming are athletics, fitness, cultural arts, historic, outdoor recreation, earth education and social life skills.
