• The North Shore Channel will be be closed to all recreational traffic May 11 through May 13, 2010. For more information go to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources site.
Opened in May 2001, this state-of-the-art facility features a boat launch and 5,000 square foot indoor training center with 2 indoor sweep rowing tanks. Enjoy canoeing and kayaking May through September with Chicago River Canoe and Kayak. Launch your own non-motorized watercraft such a sculls, canoes and row boats on the North Shore Channel. Launching is free and limited to non-motorized craft. Fishing is allowed and a fish cleaning station is available. Parking is free.
The Dammrich Rowing Center is home to several nationally ranked high school and collegiate crews.
