Skokie’s Backlot Bash announces 2010 lineup
The Presidents of the United States of America, Tributosaurus as CCR, and American English will headline Skokie’s Backlot Bash main stage, August 27-29.
The Presidents, a Seattle-based power pop trio, will headline Saturday night, August 28. The band first burst into the public eye in 1995 – on the strength of radio smashes like "Lump" and “Peaches” – and has been plugging away with remarkable success ever since. Look no further than the radio favorite, The Drew Carey Show theme, “Cleveland Rocks,” and music for the film “The Wedding Singer.”
Tributosaurus as Creedance Clearwater Revival will headline Friday, Aug. 27, with Beatles tribute band American English set to finish the weekend on Sunday, Aug. 29.
The Bash will also feature a carnival, food and beer, silent movies at the Skokie Theatre with a live piano player, the Backlot Dash 5K, bingo, a classic car show, an arts and crafts fair, kids’ games, a dunk tank, a business expo and sidewalk sale, a Sunday pancake breakfast and Farmer’s Market, Skokie Heritage Museum exhibits, and much more.
